According to the interview, Reed doesn't think much of Short. I'll have to see the race before I form an opinion. Either way, Reed is one heck of a rider to come that far up from last place. I'm also pretty sure he doesn't actually have a broken scapula.

I am gonna wait and see the race too. I know Short woulda been blocking hard as he was leading most of the race and there woulda been team orders if the situation arose with Short, Millsaps or Grant in between. He commented or "gave a shoutout" to Shorty about moving over onto Reed in the whoops I believe. But didn't affect the end result so it's not a worry.

It's funny.

Who said broken scapula? The official word is it's cracked. Not having a go at you jedi as I've read more than 10 posts at other places about this being blown out of proportion and people saying he's doing well for it being broken. I wondered what was wrong but after LB's interview at Detroit stating it's cracked and then Reed was apparently riding go karts the injury wasn't going to put him out too much. That's why I picked him to win still.

No sweat, Aus. Maybe I should have said "cracked". Makes little difference as far as my point goes. While I have never broken or cracked either of my own, I know a couple of guys who have. They didn't even scratch their own nose with that arm for a couple of weeks and got very little sleep.
Of course, I realize Reed is getting medical attention they couldn't dream of. The report of his injury just doesn't add up. That's all I'm trying to say.
Since I'm not an insider, I'll just sit here and speculate out loud that I don't think his injury involves a cracked scapula. I'm no doctor but...... show me some X-rays.
He sure didn't sound high on meds in the interview.

Yep, I am hearing ya.

He's made a quick recovery for appearing to be in pain from the footage of Detroit.

I did bring up cracked as I wouldn't be surprised and sort of assume a tiny crack is the case. Would probably hurt like anything when it was cracked but doesn't hurt as much as a properly broken or dislocated bone.

I can only speculate too as I know no more than the internet or TV leads me to believe! And also just bringing up other possibilities.

His shoulders have been his only real injury. He dislocated one orginally by only shooting a ball in pool!

Well Gents, if you want a first hand account about a fractured scapula, I had one a Couple of years ago I took a nasty spill on my bike and fractured my scapula with dislocation. In my dictionary if you look up pain you'll see a picture of a broken scapula. Many of you may have had broken ribs, nothing compared to a scapula. It was exactly 16 days before I could take a breath without major pain, and another couple of weeks before I could move my arm.

I remember you telling me how bad it was, Pop. I don't think Reed could do what he's doing even if was just cracked.

We rode today so I recorded the race. Just finished watching it and it was pretty freakin' good! The two Honda riders gave much classier interviews than the Yamaha dude.

Here, Here.. Reeds kind of a big baby . Both Grant and Millsaps didn't seem to give him any trouble, practically let him by.. Shorty put a bit of a block on him, but heck, that's racing, like Reed hasn't done the same thing before

Killer race though!

Who in their right minds would want Reed to win over Windham? Windham is just way more classy. Reed talking about Honda orders, they didn't put up much of a fight at all. Only Short, can't blame him since he was leading most the race, he didn't want to give it up on the last lap.

But if you look at the race, seems to me some of the Honda guys gave Windham a harder time than Reed. Reed is fast, but he rubs me the wrong way. Now, if Honda had really given orders, one of the Honda guys could've put him on the ground on that last lap and he would've lost a lot more than 3 points.

He should quit his *****in' and just race. He's not getting any sympathy from me. Cracked scapula my butt. Whenever things start getting close, he gets a convenient injury so he can have a fall back in case he loses. He may be the fastest guy on the track, but interviews like that are a reason why many folks don't like him.

Mr. Reed kills me, he went down in the first corner with only himself to blame. Then he has a killer ride, he did absolutely awesome to save 2nd place and he still puts on a show.
