We Definitely Rode 2008 IN!

This was one of those days that we planned ahead of time and had to work around some family issues. Family comes first. I think each of our crew went their separate ways and took care of necessary business until after lunch. The cell phones were ringing and we were able to meet up at Pettijohn's around 1:45. 45 degrees and a pretty stiff wind but we are dirt bikers at heart. As we are currently racing the State Snowman Series, it was fitting that we hooked up with a few fellow racers from other parts of our state that are involved in the Series. The cities of Altus and Yukon were represented and it was one of those times that we rode, bench raced, rode, then bench raced some more. Nobody really even thought about taking pics. Sorry, we were catching up on all the schtuff of our racing together back when we didn't really know who the other rider was.
It's always great to ride on the first day of the year as that is our passion. There were only a few get-offs and nobody was hurt. I had a near crash but, considering the conditions, everything went extremely well.
I got one simple pic of a lonely Yamaha amongst all our Hondas as we spent all afternoon riding and fine tuning suspension along with the bench racing. Wish I had more pics to share but it was just one of those days to be "caught up" in the riding. I hope you all got to ride today.

The cross country course was good. Some of the deep sandy sections were drying out but it's good practice riding in that stuff.
