Sunday 3-9-08 Was a Great Day! Pics and Vid.

Many of you know I ventured into the Cross Country Racing venue over the past 12 months. It was educational, very grueling, and even fun for the most part. Between the 2007 OCCRA Series and the Snowman Series this winter, I have had little time to do any real motocrossing. Been needing a fix. The Duncan crew was able to hit one of our favorite spots yesterday. It's near Anadarko, Ok and it has a great MX track as well as an extremely fun Cross Country course. The best of both worlds.
The weather was PERFECT! 70 degrees and no wind.



We had some camera issues (both still and video) but we scraped up just a bit to share. The majority of the crew spent most of their time in the trees but Scotty P., rbm33, and myself got some much appreciated seat time on the MX track. We all ran the Cross Country course as well. I already shared the creek crossing where we stopped for some fun. This is Haley (rbm's daughter) hitting it a little too hot.

The helmet cam worked the second time out so here is a link to one lap on the track. It's not a very good vid. There was hardly anyone there. I think the vid starts with me clearing a double and we go to helmet cam. rbm33 follows me for a lap and the only other rider you see on the track is Haley when we pass her. I'll edit later and add a link to some HC cam on the Cross Country course. It's pretty good stuff but it's LONG. I'll work it down a bit.

Edit: Got it down to about 8 minutes. Macho, you need to watch this! rbm33 is chasing Batman Bailey. They race +40 Expert. It's too bad the elevation changes look so tame on the vid.

Mike, I'd love to! However, considering the price of gas, it'll probably be October before I make it down there. Of course, if I just quit racing, I could come down there more often.

Its all good, we're still fighting to get someone to take care of the track...its still fallin' apart...although last ride there was beautiful. Racing and gas both are good for burning holes in pockets haha

Well your day looked better than mine. I loaded up yesterday morning to go ride for the first time, went to Southfork Dirtriders in Taylorville. Got there and the whole place was under water/mud. I was alone and only the owner was there. wish they would have warned me before I drove there. I never even unloaded the bike.

Holy cow!! You guys were flying thru the trees! On more than one occasion I found myself tucking my arms so as to not hit a tree! Great vids, both of them.

I really dug that woods vid! ... pretty fast and tight alright!
I don't know what happened to the audio...I was bummed at first, and then
I just put 'Crazy Train' in my cd player and made two stroke sounds with my mouth.
Looked like a blast you guys had, awesome dirt too.

Make that pit stop in Oklahoma, bro. I have a spare bedroom. The Duncan crew loves to ride and we can hook you up with some excellent woods riding.

Sweet vids David, Rbm chasing the elusive Batman,I guess I have never really seen them ride, after 2 turns I never see them again until they lap me, then I get handle bars in the ribs. lol

Kewl vids Jedi. Those trees make me want to sell the Husky and pick up something to trail ride on. Not sure I could hang with those guys though. Looks like the were scootin' along pretty good!
