Renting the track is around $250 if it is prepped. Might be closer to $300 by October with inflation and all. They are good people and will be all about showing us a good time if we want to make this thing work. I'll kick in a good portion of the rent as I don't mind helping the track out as much as possible. I ride there quite often. It's up to you guys if you want to ride there on the way down to Splendora. I can make all the contacts to set it up if you so choose.

Still waiting on Keeto's pics!

I say lets DO IT! Thatd be great if you can set it up Jedi. I think we can come up with enough people so that everyone's portion isnt too high. Thursday or Friday?

I missed the fun I guess!! I had full intentions of being at Nocona MX early Saturday, but when I looked at the temp. guage hanging in the yard at 7:00 am and it was around the 28 degree mark I just could'nt make my self do it. Looking at all the pic's I regret not coming out. My son and I did make it over there Sunday afternoon for my first time back on a mx track in a little over 2 years. It was great! Even though I felt really slow, I still had alot of fun. Please post when any of you plan to ride there again, I would like to join in on the fun.

Sorry for the late pic post but my camera is having user issues.

Char, why'd ya have to post the pic of me getting 2 inches of air? That jump was actually kind of fun. It was directly into the wind so when you got in the air, you just floated for a bit. Cool feeling as long as it wasn't throwing you sideways!

Michele: OK, she had the worst fall of the day but you should have seen it from my point of view! She tripped in a rut and fell and she looked up at me with the pain filled eyes and said she broke her leg. I freaked and then she started laughing. I wish I had a camera at that point!

Char

Char and Jedi - tried to get them side by side but they weren't cooperating!

Char in the whoops

Jedi doubling into the whoops

Char tearing up the whoops

Jedi over the double

Char's first time over the double

Michele has more on her camera but she is still feeling sick so it may be a while before we get hers posted.

I'm still stoked about the good time!

Oh man! I was right there. Sooo close. I told Char, "If DPW were here, we'd be doubling in every time. In all seriousness, the wind stole mucho confidence from all of us. Not in the rhythm section so much but it just kept us from getting comfortable overall. It was just STUPID how much impact it had.

Sure wish ya'll could have made it out, DPW and Trip. Sorry to hear you're sick DPW, hope you get to feeling better soon.

Jedi sure wanted to double into the rhythm section. I know I sure had to check up before it every time. I even went back and sized it up a couple of times at the end of the day and then decided it would really suck to give it a whirl and get hurt after riding safely all day. Next time you're going to have to pace me over it.

I can do that. We'll talk when the date gets a bit closer.

I'm not Char but they drove 5 hours one way. I am guessing it's around 2 hours for you. Probably closer to 1 1/2. It's just outside of Nocona, TX if you want to check a Google map. You would love it as it has no "do or die" jumps. You can roll everything or jump whatever you want to.

We probably could have made it in 4.5, but the 10,000 mph headwind slowed us down a tad, not to mention, it increased the fuel consumption by... A LOT.

It's well worth the drive, Flash.

I keep telling Jedi once he hits that double he's going to be asking himself ...why...."why did I wait so long.."

Yeah I was bummed about last Saturday, had the bike already to go too. Oh well the good weather is right around the corner.

Anybody up for a ride this Saturday at Nocona?

Saturday is a no go for me. Sunday is better but we'll talk.
And I have always believed you on the blind double. I just don't hit a jump for the first time 'til I am 100% ready. Just call it being old.

I'm here in Dallas and have rode Nocona once...if you guys are serious about renting it out on a Friday, I would love to be involved. It would be worth the extra money to have the track to ourselves and get to meet some of you guys(as long as two strokes are ok....)
