Pics Pics: MTDR Ride at Loretta Lynn's

I didn't get many pictures on the trails, but I was wanting to ride more than snap pics. :roost:

Fixing to turn in at LL's...

Already past the Cabins and entrance...

Small part of the camp ground. All the big RV's and stuff were up by the main entrance. This was at the bottom by the creek.

My Mom and Dad back at camp. Keep in mind it hovered around the 40F's and 50F's with drizzle to down pours, so they were no the happiest campers. Doesn't help my Dad is 66 years old and Mom is 62. lol

Close-up in the cold rain...

Neighbors camps...

On the novice trail: This was after the entrance and first major hill climb that was deep thick mud. It's actually dry looking, but trust me, that's just the color of the mud up there. It's a light brownish color with a lot of rocks.

One of the smaller smoother hills to climb. Most were curvy, with stumps, close by trees, and deep mud.

Just came down the hill and snapped another here. Got to love how close some trees are to the trail. I went through some areas that the trees leaned across the trail and you almost had to duck while other trees were right on the edge and the 4-wheeler tracks would almost rail your bars in to the tree. Seems I didn't get pics of the tricky and most technical areas I had to ride through, so these make it all look smooth and easy, but it wasn't.

Waiting on folks to get up the muddy hill climb. Like I said, tree roots, curves, deep mud, you name it! This little P&S camera really makes these hills look small and easy to get up as well, but a lot were tough.

Another downhill with a curve at the bottom.

The view of that down hill from behind me.

Different downhill. This was an easy one.

You can open her up a bit here.

Look at all the downed riders on that hill! One small kid down too.

Another down hill....

Little guy down! I was shocked some folks brought such small kids even on the novice trail! I mean those hills were muddy and not this one, but some were pretty hard to get up for some adults!

Neighbors 450R

My junk

Found some yummy vintage

That is all. Didn't get any from the expert trail and no pics of the kids loops.

I had a great time and the rain didn't bother me at all. I didn't even get cold despite the weather. I wore my TLD gear, a sweat shirt and coveralls on the trails and actually was sweating. lol

It wasn't a race and was considered a family type ride with emphasis on "pass with care."

The CR500 actually made the ride a pleasure and the sucker climbs muddy hills easily.

What I need to do is buy some land out there one day, open it up for riding year round 7 days a week, and racing at least a weekend out of each month.

You dudes should go to the next woods ride out there.

EXCELLENT report and great job getting pics. I know from personal experience how hard it is to capture the story with woods riding.
I enjoyed it!

Thanks, bro!

It is tough to get pics on the trail. I couldn't carry my good camera (Nikon D80) so I was stuck trying to capture this with a small P&S (Nikon L3).
