Motoman Facility MMI II - Pre-Ride Report

As some may or may not know, I spent this last weekend in Indiana visiting and riding with Motoman, DRGSin, Big Tree 686 and a bunch of other Mo-to-crossers at the motoman facility.

I had an absolute blast. I got to ride an '07 CRF450 and MM's '08 CRF450 back to back, and therefore was able to full see the differences between the way the two different models handle, mainly turning. The '08 turns on a dime.

I had a really good time, and wanted to personally thank all those that made it possible. So THANK YOU!

I've been trying to talk my wife into getting a barn too. I'm just not sure where it will fit... I think I need some more land Barns are COOL!

Anyway, enough with the rambling. I shot over a thousand pictures, and running through them all to try and pic a couple of favorites is pretty tough. There really are quite a few good ones.

Now that I've spent a good portion of my evening looking at your pics, I can say this looks like a fun little jump.





I'm sure I would like it more at the beginning of the day than later. Sure would hate to get cross-rutted. Jeez, I'm actually thinking about which line would be best for me and my little thumper.

Edit: Well never mind on the pic. I guess it won't show from mxguy. I'll work on it.

That jump is a blast, just make sure you carry your corner speed (there's more of a rut now than last time I saw it) and hold it on up the face. Of course, it wasn't rutted like that either...

That guy would be Shoup, that picture is just great.

As for the step up, that jump is actually pretty simple to hop up onto, the challenge is to jump to the bottom....thats a whole other world.

I will say that we (I) have ALOT Of work to do to the track in the week leading up to MMI.....the track right now (we had 8 more guys out tonight.....) is in the worst condition I have ever seen it in....its rough. Really rough.

As for the ruts....pick one don't loose eye contact with that one rut, and hold the gas on....you will be a'ight.

No aus no one has, none of us have a real video camera. lol

We should have some helmet cam footage after MMI 2 though.

I had fully planned on taking/bringing my video camera, but I left it at home. I'll make sure i have it for MMI II. I'm pretty sure Char will have hers as well (helmet cam).

I had a blast.

That dirt does look nice. I'll be there for MMI II, I just need to figure out how to fit in my brothers suitcase without him noticing.
