Default A great day riding with my son

JJ and I actually were able to plan a little mother/son time today. I was so excited to see that for once our schedules allowed us to get out to the track and enjoy the time together. (JJ is pretty busy with football right now) Below are a few pics....not Zoo quality but a least a few pics this time.

JJ getting some air

Getting ready to go out

I was having a really horrible riding day (the worst in a long time) but JJ was able to make me look somewhat fast.

Overall...just a great day connecting with my teenager!

Good stuff!

BTW, if you'll tell me what size gloves you wear I'll buy you some just for being a mom who rides with her son.

It was a bad day riding in the fact that I could not go the right speed, jump right, corner right, etc. Goon riding except I wasn't doing it on purpose.

It was fun to see JJ out there again. He hasn't been riding so I haven't experienced the riding with your family thing in awhile. Riding is just so cool when you share it with your children. I cannot think of anything better than this.

Jedi- you noticed huh? I have this funky thing where I hate wearing gloves. I have a new pair that actually fits now but I still hate them. It also was over 100 today I believe so it was blazing hot and we obviously cannot be without any of the other gear. Thanks for offering though. It drives Zoo crazy as well.

yz250guy- maybe soon you will get to do this as well. It isn't JJ's passion or best thing but he does enjoy getting out there. Good luck!

Jacob has been asking to go alot lately too so maybe I will take Becca and Jacob out tomorrow. Becca insists she wants to try too but we shall see. I have this feeling that she will get scared and never touch the things again. Now if we had a pink motorcycle with some rhinestones on it she might try. Oh the life with a girly girly. Don't ask me where she gets it????

Hey cool pictures. I hope riding is something I can always do with my son(s?), just like you did today!

Good job!

No pics of you running toward that chair by chance huh?

Thank you for the compliments.

Mxmama- My son took the pictures and he did a wonderful job, however as most of know, action photography is NOT easy. Most of his shots were completely blurry so I believe that is the only good one. As you can tell, I was having a hard time and didn't even get the ground in his shot.

The jump is very nice and angled just right to huck you in the air. I absolutely love that jump because even if you are a beginner it feels just right for jumping. Yesterday I was trying but I was not going as far as I usually can on that jump. It is just set up the way you love it and it is perfect for launching you....not much skill required except to hit the throttle hard. I do find it easier to jump on the 450 because it has more power. It will be interesting to see what happens when I get the 250 back from the shop. Should be any time now because there are only a few parts left that they are waiting on.

LOL Yeah he is growing. He is only about an inch shorter than me and his football cleats that we just bought are an 11 1/2. Freaks you out how big they get all of a sudden. His attitude is what I like the best. He has matured so much in the last two years and it kind of snuck up on us. It is like talking to an adult with discussions instead of pouting and hormonal fluctuations by the second. How old is Corbin now?

I will tell him that you liked his photos.

I may be mistaken, but aren't you the one that loads your bike with a metal chair? I was joking about that, but my memory might be playing tricks on me.

Sorry

Anyway, I think all those pictures are wonderful!!

Yes I am the one that loads and unloads with a metal chair when I ride alone. My son was there to assist this weekend and it was heavenly.

Dane- I am telling him you said that.

11-1/2 @ 14...them are canoes not feets. Corbin will be 12 in October. Hes in to the football as well...amazing the changes they're going through. But, what really cracks me up is the way he acts so tough, but still ends up in bed with mommy and daddy after a scary movie
