Great day of riding at 3p's!

It was our first day of "just riding" together in quite a while. The weather was almost perfect, slightly overcast and not too hot or humid out. We got to the track fairly early to put a few laps in. Texas Riders Support Foundation (TRSF) was out there with a small moto swap meet and a fundraiser for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. They were holding "grudge races". For a $25 donation to PBTF, you could call out whoever you wanted and they'd give you 3 laps on the GP track. It was a great cause and really great fun. I got called out by someone I didn't even know, except through HoustonMotocross.com. What the heck, I figured? We gated up and had several others gate up with us as well. I lost to the other guys but beat the guy who called me out. It was all in good fun, there were plenty of smiles and handshakes afterwards.

Both the kids rode and this was another of those days that I saw great improvement in each of them. John is on the pegs more and getting more comfortable and confident. Anna is still not on the pegs as much as I think she should be, but she's finally getting more comfortable with the power of the 65. She learned yesterday that she could give it a little blip of the throttle up the face and she'd carry the front wheel over the other side. It really looked like she was having fun out there yesterday. Although neither of my kids are very aggressive, they are having fun and that just makes my day.

It really was a great day of hanging out with friends and riding. Honestly doesn't get much better than that.

the last few weekends I have been riding with my kids. The feeling I get watching them ride is awesome. I have the best time of my life with them on ride days..
Tell your gurl to nail it alot more on that 2 stroke.. Ping is like no tomorrow..
I love the sound of my pinger with pipe setup I have.... Use the pegs.. Want her to play more on pegs, here is trick ... Take her seat one day...

Also as I tell my kids, any day of riding without a hurt is a great day.. I tell them don't try anything they aren't comfortable with...
Seeing my son nail his 2 stroke and spinning it around is awesome.

That guy (Daniel) is holding a package of grips, I think. Riptide took some pity on him when he saw the mangled things Daniel has been riding with. He took a spill on our moto-date while the kids were gone.
