Default GMB VI Planning Ride...

We had a smaller group than usual, but it was still a great time. On Saturday Mr Berg and Shannon, Sam, Mr Pringle, Keetoman, MrsTwister & kids, PopFuhre, Pragmatic and our family met up at Splendora. The track was prepped pretty nicely in the morning, although there were a few wet spots that nearly took each of us down at least once during the day. It got pretty dried out by the time we left and hardpacked in quite a few spots, but it was still a blast. They made a few track changes that some of us liked and some of us didn't. I guess for me, Splendora is just one of those places that I love to ride.

Riding with friends is always just so cool. The Keetobunny even put a few laps in. Shannon rode Effie for a little bit and Mr Berg let me ride Garrett's 450. Riding that bike is always a privilege and an honor. I'm pretty sure I spied Prag on the Maico at some point too. I didn't get a whole lot of pics, if I wasn't riding, I was resting. Thankfully, MrsTwister and Keeto took quite a few pics and I'm sure they'll get some posted up tomorrow.

Prag took Garrett's bike out for a few laps...too cool.

The run up to the triple stepup..

Shannon's friend Sam, I can't remember what his username here is...

Mr Pringle, Mr Berg and Pop Fuhre..

Howard, Keeto's back, Pragmatic, Pop Fuhre and Sam & Shannon in the foreground..

Have empty water bottles and dirt, will be amused...

Ellie (I haven't a clue what she's doing.. )

After riding we went to Los Cucos and had a good 'ol time.

This morning Keeto, Mr Pringle, Wobbie, Daniel, the kids and myself headed over to the GP track at 3 palms. Oh man..that track was sweet today!!! It wasn't very crowded and the weather was great! We had lots of fun riding together. Unfortunately the 139 lost compression and Daniel's pink bike had exhaust issues. Not to worry though..we'll get it figured out. Mr Pringle and I got to turn quite a few laps together and I can't speak for him, but I had a freakin blast!!!! Again... Wobbie and Keeto were snapping pics. I have a few that Daniel took, but they're mostly of me. I put quite a few laps in today and I'm already feeling it.

Hopefully Keeto is having a safe drive home. Can't wait to hear everyone else's input.

I wish I could have come too! Actually Deb told me Friday she was looking into airfare to surprise me but I had committed 4 months ago to help Sara Lipert's father, who is president of an upstart District 37 club, Racers MC, work his race this weekend. I bet you can't guess who the trophy girl was!

We had a great time and were honored to help put on what turned out to be the class event of the year so far.

I'm thinking that's 12 lbs. air pressure upon landing.

I had a blast! Got a little sunburn Saturday and only rode about 4 laps on Char's 139 (FUN BIKE!!!) but I was too busy trying to figure out the camera and taking pictures to ride much. The track was good in the morining, albeit a little muddy in spots but later on in the day there were ruts so deep it ate a couple of people.

Three palms was a freaking SWEET track!!! I again got to ride the 139 of Char's (Did I mention that bike is a blast to ride??) and put in a few slow laps. I am so out of shape it's pathetic... I'll be changing that really fast!

Char has really picked up some speed!! She passed me in the air about 4 times and I was in 5th gear pinned! I did manage to almost put a stop to it though. She went wide in a turn and I grabbed the inside line and almost took us both out. It reminded me of the Chad Reed vs. Bubba take out move. Sorry gurl! LOL

Too bad about Daniel's bike blowing the header pipe off then it losing compression on his first lap on it. Must have been worn out pulling my 200 lb butt around.

I have pictures but they are currently being downloaded to my PC. Hope to have some up tomorrow.

Wobbie, I want that lens!!!

P.S. Thanks to Char, Daniel and Howard for giving me free lodging and a bike to ride. Next time, could you please change tires between my exhausting laps?
