We met up with Riptide369 and BamBam727 for a few hours yesterday at Creekside MX, which is a new track that just opened in Splendora. They have plans to add another big track, a kids track and open some trails. The one track that's currently open is a bit advanced looking, with some doubles you definitely don't want to short, a whoop section and some tables. The dirt looks good, although a bit dusty, but they have sprinklers. The owner was there and wanted to hear everyone's thoughts, from fast to slow. He seemed genuinely interested in what everyone had to say, which I think is a rarity nowdays. Another of or members, yzaddict106 was out there on his Kawasaki-amaha lookin fast and smooth. It was good to be out at the track again and fun to take pics, even if that was a bit challenging. Holy cow was it hot yesterday too! The gallery is here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] A few pics I liked: yzaddict106 (DJ) ![]() Riptide369 ![]() ![]() And someone I don't know.. ![]() I didn't get any of BamBam, he was done riding before we got there. I think he came up short in a rhythm section and jammed his wrist.

Yeah, me either! As for not complaining, I have nothing to complain about. Life is all about perspective, a busted kneecap is a pretty small thing in the grand scheme of life. I got some good kids, a great husband, and great friends that I got to hang out with for a couple of hours. LIFE IS GOOD!

Is there any chance the Evo Series will be hitting up these tracks for our Fall Season? Maybe replace a few of those 3Palms tracks we run more than once?

You bet we did. I believe he was told my a couple different people that while it's good for the A & B class guys to have a place to practice, most of his money will be made from us "weekend warrior" types. I'm pretty sure his plan is for the other track to have more tables and less gaps. I just hope he gets the support he needs to continue on. It would be great to have another track on this side of town.

AWESOME!!!! I mean I always like (and NEED) a lot of room for error. Good to know I'm not alone. Although I probably want a smaller gap than others From what I saw, some of those landings looked like take off ramps. All he needs to do is round'em out more, its not rocket science. BTW....did they say about how long before the other stuff might be ready, maybe this summer sometime? I would love to go there when they get the peewee track done Last edited by mxmama393; 07-01-2008 at 05:25 PM.

I didn't really ask when they'd have it done. Maybe Rob knows. Personally, I'm fine with no gaps at all. I don't think there's any real need for them, if you're fast enough to get over a triple, then you should be fast enough to get over a table the same length. The skill required is the same, it just gives you room for error. They were working on the other track, it looks as though the basic layout is there. Hopefully it'll be done before too long.

yeh doubles that i have problems with are often the same size or smaller than a table you are confident with its just hard when there is nothing there in the middle to be confident the first time u hit it. you should step them thats what i did and found that the one i was scared of was 7 metres smaller than the table i wass clearing all about confidence

Awesome pics, Char! Looks like a great start to a track that could become a success. Hope the owners listen to the riders, which most do these days, and make it safe yet fun and challenging. Supercorss style tracks have no place in public.
