Default CRF JEDI

I start out out the day getting ready for a race in oklahoma'crosscountry'
I get up at 5am and get it all togather.I get to the track and get signed in,,,,all going smooth.I go to practice....smooth. Getting ready for my race and Jedi calls and says hes on his way, remind you hes been gone to texas and hasnt even riden this track,no practice. He gets here and starts throwing tools, number plates.Ice chest"alot of ice and one 6 pack of water" His occra # is not the same as his mx#.I race my race and get in hes fired up and is heading to the start line.

We watch his start...looks good ,about 30 minutes later he comes by saying a tree got in his way****big tree"" He did finish but he did look 6" shorter.
Great Job !!!!!

Nice to see you back at occra !!!

Thanks but I'm not sure how much fun I had. I'll post up a bit of video shortly. The place everyone was crashing wasn't so tough for me but that freakin' tree gave me a headache! Thankfully, it's gone this morning but I'm pretty stiff. I'll be fine by tomorrow.

Got about a minute forty five of video uploaded. The race was at Salt Creek and it's known for it's nasty uphill sand climbs. Power robbing, energy sapping, discouraging sand. This one is steeper than it looks on film. It's got a freakin' tree right in the middle of it!
Look for the #260 TTR at the end of the vid. This gentleman is well over 70 years old. He's been racing longer than most of us have been alive. Except for maybe Mainjet and Pop. Everyone in OCCRA loves this man. Always smiling.

Great write up and video! That hill looks like fun but I can imagine the traction problems you can get. Sorry to hear about the DNF, you'll get them next time!

You would in that deep stuff. Everybody could touch there. However, it's best if you stand up and keep your momentum and rpm's high. Let the bike go where it wants to within reason. The ones with their feet down were by far the slower riders.

Pretty freakin' crappy, bro! I let so many people by me it was ridiculous! I'm out of the points so my goal was simply to use the race as an opportunity to get back in shape. Arm pump was so bad I couldn't clutch or brake there for a bit.

And thanks for the pics, April!

Amazing how hard it is to try and get in shape, but how quick you can loose it

Thanks for the vid, Jedi! I can relate to the sand. Some of us even have a hard time on flat ground in the sand.

Go gettem next time bro!

That sand looks... ugh, no fun at all.

I didn't want to alarm you guys. I just wanted you to know I was playing in the sand down where I was at but I couldn't get up.

Hey Jedi/Batman/RBM/Pitqueen. Who was it that had that picture of me laying in the sand that day? I sure would like to get a copy of that picture!

P.S. Sorry for the hijack.
