Pics Angleton MX 6/21/2008 Lots-o-pics

Angleton MX was excellent! jhendrix and Miles I'm sure will agree.

Corbin and I met up with jendrix & Shelby , Miles711 and his Dad (Steven). We showed up late (around 1PM) due to a surprise flat on Corbin’s bike and decided it was time for a new front tire while we were wrestling it (he said the new tire Rocked!).
The track was a bit mushy early in the day, so the delay paid off, even a bit dusty later in the day. We liked the lay-out and it flowed very nice. The jumps were all super safe and forgiving.

Miles is such a smooth rider, his speed seems effortless and jhendrix was definitely looking comfy out there. Serious improvement

Shelby and I took a lot of pics and I can't wait to see hers!

…and one other great point about that track is it’s less than 20 miles from our favorite beach spot. The water was amazingly clear! Corbin and I chilled watching all the storms in the distance…the ones Miles mentioned. We decided an after ride beach visit will become the standard for Angleton MX.

Great day indeed! We’ll definitely be going back.

Here’s a lot of my favs’ and a link to the rest ~ [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] password allthingsmoto

Lots of fun! They added alot of sand to the track, and the dirt is alot different than it usually is. I'm guessing from the added rain too. But, it was great!! I tried a double that I have never hit, buttt, I ended up casing my brains out, so I didn't try it again. Next time though, i'm hitting it for sure.

Shelby got alot of good pics, so im going to get them up tonight hopefully.

Awesome pics Prag! You were looking good out there too... Those couple of laps where we were side by side were a blast (I remember you wheeling away from me in that straight every lap ). I wish we had brought our camera as well. Steven has improved a lot since the last time I saw him ride. He was looking much more comfortable on the bike out there!

Great weekend guys, we will have to do it again soon!

Theres only 28. I only uploaded the ones that came out pretty good, and only the ones of the people in our group. If anyone wants the rest of the pics, i'll upload them all. But theres quite a few.

All credit for the pictures goes to Shelby. She got sunburn on her face taking them, anddd, a nice adventure in the mud Prag told me about.

I'm going to edit a few tomorrow(hopefully), brighten a few I like up, maybe add some cool stuff. Who knows.

Miles, those few laps were kicking my butt good~it was ALL I could do to stay there. Your style is smooth; reminds me of DPW's.

..it's more like how big is the jumper Mile's is about 6'-3" and I'm guessing around 235

He makes that 450 look like a 150R, does'nt he?

I think I still have a bit of suspension travel to go, that frame will just about touch the ground (Don’t ask how I know )

I need to respring the bike for my weight, but that has been changing lately so I want to wait until it levels off before ordering new springs. I'm about 15lbs lighter than I was this time last summer, and hopefully I loose another 10/15lbs by Christmas so I can justify ordering some springs I think once I get down to ~200-205 I will be happy. When I was doing a lot of exercise in the early spring I got down to 215 but started to gain some back when I stopped exercising to study for exams and finals.

I'm hoping to order some lowered pegs in a week or so! My bars are already so high that I think if I went any taller it would affect my cornering while seated.

I saw some pictures of Ferry testing a bike with even more suspension travel than the current 450’s and got all excited that someone was going to make me a nice huge bike… but I don’t think it will ever see production.

Mmmm works Pro Circuit suspension with extended travel......

I'd probably have to pawn my truck to afford those forks alone
