3-16-08 Ride report, Whooooohoooooo!

Let me start of by saying that having this much fun shouldn't be legal. What a GREAT day of riding, we had a HUGE turnout today, at the height of it we had 14 vehicles parked in the drive and 25 bikes out riding.

This was the first time I have really gotten to ride my new Honda, riding indoors just isn't the same as getting outside and getting out of second gear. I can now officially say that this is by FAR the best bike I have ever owned. Thats saying alot because I really liked my '03 YZ450 but this thing has it beat hands down. The suspension is top notch, the motor unreal, and it turns by itself, just way sweet. I left the bike in 3rd gear around my whole track for the most part and it just pulls and pulls.

I can't really explain it other then just being instantly comfortable on it, I logged another 2 hours on the hour meter today and it seams to just get better. I jumped everything on the track the 2nd lap with complete confidence.

where are you in indy again? I have family in ohio and may be visiting them this summer.. might be able to bring a bike along.

I am North of Indy. If you want to google its Howe, IN.

That was the cool thing about today, everyone out there was a good rider, but everyone had some different line choices. There are a few corners right now that have like 4 lines in them.

Thanks man, I am really enjoying the new bike, just strange to feel instantly confident on a machine that is totally different then anything you have ever owned. I feel SO much better on this bike then I did my '06.

As for the track it's about 10 years in the making, I normally just add one thing or make a change once a year, keeps it fairly economical and fun that way. I will have to dig up the old VHS video of it when it first was made, lol it wasn't ANYTHING like it is now.
