Talking First ride in over two months

Man it felt so good to get back out there and ride. It was EXACTLY what the doctor ordered

We went trail riding in Corral Canyon (socal). It was Imahoot, JJ (our 10 year old), Brian (a buddy) and myself. We started the day with a two hour down some long fire roads. It was easy riding, but very fun.

We finished the day with a pretty challenging tight, rocky trail ride down a large hill out in Corral. I was so proud of JJ for taking on the trail as bravely as he did. There were some sections that I felt like walking down, but he did awesome!

Anyways, like I said...it was so much fun to go riding again. I cannot wait to go back out.

Today was also my real first day back in 4 months. Faded and I went to a local track and tore it up. It took quite a few laps before I felt comfortable but then all was good!!! I cleared everything I wanted to on the track and never laid it down. I just hope I'm back up to speed by January.

I'm a motohead at heart but I do like an occasional trail/desert/non-track ride. It just seems so relaxing. Give JJ a high five for me.

Zoo,

Congrats on your recovery, it's good to know that you're back at it again! Congrats to JJ as well, sounds like he's getting comfortable on the bike. Can't wait to see you guys in Mesquite again sometime in the winter months. Take care!

Thanks Nappers! The trees at Corral definitely make it more tolerable than most places at this time of year. We definitely should head out there as a group some time.

Elsinore seems to be the closest to where I am staying and where the Hoots live.
