Moto KTM 200sx forks

So my 200 sx forks need to be rebuilt to say the least. They are leaking all over and have started to be REALLY stiff. The bike handles awful now. Anyways, the previous owner or the guy before him (This is a 2003 200 sx) must have put the forks in a vice to get them apart, and the fork tubes are all marked up from that, and even one of the fork legs have a dent and a small spider web type of crack which surprisingly has not spread further. I am worried to even bother rebuilding these forks. Are there any other forks that will fit my current triple clamps? What year KTM forks would be a good upgrade, or should I just try to find the same ones somewhere? Thanks guys any help would be appreciated

Default 06 KTM 200XCW

It's strange that I came across this post! I have an '06 KTM 200XCW I bought for my step-Dad for his 59th birthday when I was going to graduate school at USC (I bought the XC for him, an 06 YZ250 for me) from KTM of Santa Monica.

My step Dad was a committed smoker, and he was diagnosed with Type II lung cancer the week after I got the bike, so it has never been ridden.

I moved back to Houston and the KTM has been in storage here. It has ZERO hours. I started it once, he started it once at his birthday. That's it. Seriously. Even the tires have the teats still on them.

I've been in the process of converting it to an SX. I bought the triples from Emig to convert to a 47mm Showa TC front end from an 06 CRF250. I have all the parts to make the swap, I just hadn't done it yet.

I had planned on maybe putting the front end on KTM Talk. The 06 forks are a useful upgrade from yours and I'd sell you the entire front end, including the fender (but not the handlebars, front brake or clutch m/s). The tire and rim obviously have ZERO hours, rotor is perfect, etc. for $200 + shipping. That's the forks, the front axle, the front wheel and the triples and bar mounts.

I'm pretty active on Vital under barkhard696, I really stopped checking here after dogger retired from dirt. Reach out to me at 281-750-1705. I'll be out with the bikes this afternoon and can take whatever pictures you would want. Chris
