Default 2000 50 cc 2 stroke hard starting

this is the first small 2 stroke I've had, the last 2 stroke I had was 15+ yrs ago (full size), I bought this used for my little guy, he's jonesing to ride it and I can't get it started,

I have done all the normal things:
cleaned outed carb (bike sat for 1-2 years un started in that time)
not sure of factory settings on mix screws (currently at 1.5 turns out, both of them)
new spark plug
Checked spark (good)
Checked compression (about 80 psi)
fresh fuel
AND kicked until all (dad, mom, brother & friends) legs are sore.
NO start, just some poping in the pipe,
ANY IDEA'S ????

What type of 50 is it? On my sons Pw50 the choke MUST be on and the switch on the start position or it wont start. You might want to check in a manual for what the compression should be on his bike. Also did you check to make sure the plug is getting wet and also that you assembled the carb properly? I bought a cr250 a while back that didnt run and I checked everything. Nothing for 2 days other than a dead leg. Finally, I pulled the bowl off the carb and I realized I installed the floats incorrectly causing the bike to not get fuel. Probably not your case, but I would at least check. it. Good luck!!

8o psi is too low if you did the comp test correctly.....Did you do it with the throttle wide open as you kicked??

should be about 130 psi......for a engine to run 100 psi should be the lowest
Start there.....and while doing that check the rod and main brgs for play also..

What kind of bike?
Please provide the information.
Have you tried to put a little fuel in the head and start it?
Break it down, you need three things to make it run...
Spark, Fuel, Air.
Lets find out what's going on.
Post some more info.

Yep, didn't see that... Compression is way too low to run.
Rated at 135 psi, it's not gonna run at 80 psi.
Good luck
